Our family has called these parts home for nearly a century. We are proud to have worked for decades with local farmers and growers. We know that the special lands of the Willamette Valley produce the finest quality grains, grapes, and food that can be grown, anywhere. With our new project, we aim to build on our heritage and the hard work of those who came before us, to craft wine and spirits worthy of this special valley.
We are located on the traditional lands of the Luckiamute Indians. For more than 9,000 years before Europeans first settled in the Willamette Valley, the Luckiamute (Lakmiut) band of Kalapuya (Calapooia) Indians lived along the Luckiamute River and its tributaries from Rickreall south to Corvallis. Like other Kalapuyan bands, the Luckiamute subsisted on foods harvested directly from nature, including roots from the camas lily, nuts, seeds, berries, fish and wild game. Skilled at weaving and carving, the Luckiamute used a wide array of plant materials and animal skins for making baskets, clothing, reed mats, jewelry, musical instruments and ceremonial carvings.
With our name, we honor the first peoples who lived on and cultivated these lands for millennia before us.
Wine reflects the land — the terroir — that delivers the character, flavors and styles of the grapes we bottle. Our name reflects the focus we place on the land, its history of those who have protected it and nurtured it since time immemorial enabling its bounty today.
Our wines are a manifestation of place: the soil, the air, the waters of the Willamette Valley. We aim to capture the beauty of what you see around you in every sip.
